Ingredients
Ingredients for the Dough -
- 600 grams Flour
- 30 grams Yeast
- 50 grams Sugar
- 100 ml Milk
- 200 ml Milk more if needed
- 2 Egg Yolks
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Sugar
- Pinch of Salt
Ingredients for the Filling -
- 100 grams Butter melted
- 6 tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 100 grams Sugar
- 200 ml Sweetened Milk
Instructions
Method -
-
In a small saucepan over a low-medium flame, heat 100ml of milk with a tsp of Sugar. When the milk is warm dissolve your yeast, using a wooden spoon.
-
In a mixing bowl, add in your dry ingredients: flour, egg yolks, salt and sugar. Make a well in the middle of the flour and gradually add in the milk-yeast mixture. Start kneading and adding the oil. If the dough is too dry add in more milk. Leave, covered for an hour or until it’s doubled in side.
-
When the dough has risen, divide it into two. Roll out into a rectangle shape, do this for both batches.
-
In a bowl mix cocoa powder, melted butter and the sugar. Then spread this mixture onto the rolled-out dough.
-
Roll up the dough, similar to cinnamon roll and slice into smaller rolls. Place them in a baking dish and grease the tops with more melted butter.
-
Put them in a cold oven and bake them for about 20-25 minutes on 170c, gas mark 3.
-
10 minutes brush with sweetened milk.
-
Sprinkle powdered sugar on top then serve.
